Why this exists

For a lot of people, “just turn up” isn’t simple. Social anxiety, neurodivergence, disability, or past experiences can make new spaces feel overwhelming. In Shrewsbury, a board game café called Nerdy became that rare kind of place where people could unmask, be accepted, and find their people. When it closed, many of us lost more than a venue — we lost routine, connection, and the one place that felt accessible.

The Spectrum Space CIC is about bringing that feeling back — but making it permanent, predictable, and built around inclusion from day one.

The Crowdfunder

We’re raising funds to secure a physical premises in Shrewsbury that can become a reliable home for community gaming and creative activity. Supporting the campaign helps us move from “borrowed tables” to a space you can count on.
